Sam
Leveto (President): Sam is the owner-president of the
Lifestyle family of companies. Sam started the business in
1969 and is still active in its day-to-day operations. While
Sam attended Georgia State University, where he majored in
real estate, he worked for several real estate companies whose
work included real estate appraising and mortgage loan originations.
After graduation, Sam worked as a real estate agent until
1969 when he formed S. L. Leveto Co., Inc. specializing in
land acquisitions for development and investments. In 1976,
S.L. Leveto Co., Inc. changes names to Lifestyle Communities,
Inc. to reflect Sam's expansion into development and building.
Since then, Lifestyle and its related companies have developed
land for over 5,000 homes and has purchased many investment
properties throughout North Atlanta.
John Mankin (Development V.P.): John has worked for
Lifestyle Communities for over 13 years. He has over 25 years
experience in land planning, design, development, and project
management. He has worked with Watts and Browning Engineers
and Gaskins and Assoc. in design and project management for
companies such as Arvida Corp., Cousins properties, John Wieland
Homes, Homeland Communities and many others. John's broad
background in design and construction provides Lifestyle with
the adaptability to work well with many different contractors
throughout the development and building process.
Sue Shepherd (Office & Financial V.P.): Sue serves
as Business Manager / Controller for Lifestyle Communities,
as well as various other lifestyle subsidiaries. She is an
Ohio native who began her career with Lifestyle shortly after
moving to Atlanta in 1983. Sue has seen the company grow from
land development to constructing single family homes and onto
multi-family homes. Before joining Lifestyle, Sue was employed
with the Industrial Management Council in upstate New York.
She has attended school in Ohio, New York and Georgia. Sue
is married with two children and three grandchildren. Because
of her support skills and overall knowledge, Sue is a key
component to the overall success of the company.
Jack O'Hanlon (Engineer & County Coordinator):
Jack is a graduate of the Georgia Institute of Technology
and is a registered civil engineer in both Georgia and South
Carolina. He has over 18 years of experience in land development
design and project management. Jack has also served as the
City Engineer for Hilton Head Island and was previously the
Development Review Manager for Cobb County, Georgia. His extensive
background in land planning, zoning and permitting provides
Lifestyle with the expertise to move development projects
through the labyrinth of challenging political landscapes
and complex regulatory requirements.
Amy Smiga (Sales & Marketing V.P.): Since she began
at Lifestyle in 1996, Amy has been involved in all stages
of our multi-family construction from design input and working
with contractors, to contract negotiation, closing and customer
service. Currently, Amy oversees the sales and marketing department
for our multi-family communities. She works to identify our
target market and works directly with our realtor companies
to ensure the marketing effort drives positive sales volume.
As a native Atlantan, Amy has seen the growth our city has
enjoyed over the past few decades. She holds a bachelor degree
in Finance from Georgia State University. She is married and
the mother of three boys.
Kathryn Zumbrum (Warranty and Purchase Orders):
Kathryn has been involved with construction and home building
for the past 20 years and is an accountant graduate from Kennesaw
State University. She spent 8 years working in accounting
and as an office manager for Rose Homes, a company owned by
Sam and Greg Leveto. Today, Kathryn is working for Lifestyle
overseeing the warranty and service division for Lifestyle
Communities, Inc. With her accounting background, she also
assists in all phases of Purchase Orders and Cost Budgeting
for the building of homes.
Randy Stewart (On Site Construction Manager): Randy
Stewart has been with Lifestyle for over 10 years as our lead
Construction Supervisor. Randy oversees the on site management
of the entire construction process from the foundation stage
through the walk throughs and warranty.
Greg Stewart (On Site Construction Manager): Greg Stewart
has been one of our on-site construction managers for over
2 years now. He currently oversees our Orchard Park Condominium
project from foundation through warranty.
